The Lord Our Victory

Isaiah 10:27 God’s anointing removes burdens and destroys yokes. But if I am to experience that in my life, change is needed. It is time to be militant in overcoming strongholds. Am I a victor or a victim? The death of our son Paul taught us the importance of that choice.

2Tim 2:3-4 Be a good soldier. We are in warfare. If I seek God, there will be warfare. I am no longer a civilian. Change brings adversity. The devil doesn’t want you to hear the Good News. Ex 17:8-15 Our banner, our victory. 1Cor 6:17 Joined to the Lord, one with Him, a victor. What can hell do when the church rises up in it’s victory? 1Cor 15:57 Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Christ. But look at my situation! “Losers look at what they are going through, winners look at what they are going to.” God conscious not devil conscious. “Do not lose tomorrow’s opportunities because you are feeding on yesterday’s failures.”

 Forfeit victory by:

  1. Living worldly. Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart. Get comfortable with the flesh, cozy with sin.  How close to the line can I walk? Rom 8:7 Flesh is enmity with God. Time to get aggressive. What I tolerate will destroy me.
  2. Trying to fight in the natural. Joshua did the natural. Moses did the spiritual side. David was warrior and pray-er.  Eph 6:12 Battle not against flesh and blood. When I try to battle on my own strength, I fail. Breaking addictions.

Release the victory in your life:

  1. God is a weapon for me. 2Cor10:4-5 My weapons are mighty through God. Time to break the strongholds. The most common strongholds in a person’s life are past mistakes and failures. People who have no failures also have few victories. Luke 9:62 Putting his hand to the plow and looking back. 1Cor 15:57 victory through Christ. James 4:7 Submit to God, resist the devil.
  2. Power of prayer. Moses, Aaron and Hur. Realize identity in Christ. Faith comes through identity. Eph 2:4-6 we are in a place of authority. Authority trumps power. Don’t be afraid of the devil. 2Tim 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear.
  3. Speak the Word. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life in the power of the tongue. Mark 11:23 Say to the mountain. What is your declaration? Rise up in authority. Rev. 12:11 Word of their testimony. David and Goliath: war of words before the swords. Bring thoughts captive by declaration. Line up heart and tongue with God’s Word. Its like dirty water in the bathtub: Replace it.

Power of praise. 2Chr 20:21-22  Know before the battle. Acts 16:25 Paul and Silas praise broke the chains. Isaiah 61:3 Garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. 2Cor 2:14 Always causes us to triumph. Phil 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. In the fire is when we show we are really Christian.
